1755-1760          Estimated time of birth for John Gadberry in Ireland.

?????????          Came to America; possibly after some time in Germany.

1782  3 AUG        Entered 76 acres in Montgomery County, Virginia

1783  8 AUG        Entered 50 acres in Montgomery County, Virginia

1794 26 AUG        Entered 250 acres in Montgomery County, Virginia

1795 22 APR        Entered 114 acres in Montgomery County, Virginia

1795 22 APR        Had 490 acres of land in Mongomery County, Virginia surveyed.

1800               Acquired 150 acres of land for $250. from William
                   and Elizabeth Terry, husband and wife, on Cedar Branch of 
                   Elliot's Creek, a tributary of the Roanoke.  Exact date not known.

1801 26 MAY        Received land grants from the State of Virginia.

1801    JULY       Sold his 490 acres (acquired by grants) to Thomas 
                   Turner.  This record shows that his land was located on 
                   "Connelly's Branch and Plumb Creek, waters of New River."

1802  4 MAY        Sold to Wigton King 50 of the 150 acres he had obtained from 
                   William Terry in 1800.  Amount of transaction was fourty pounds.  
                   This was land on Cedar Branch of Elliott's Creek, south fork Roanoke.

1803  3 AUG        Pays taxes in Lincoln County, Kentucky

1805  8 Nov.       Samuel Gadberry, with power of attorney, sells the remainder of John's 
                   land on Cedar Branch of Elliott's Creek to B. Goodrich and Bolling
                   Rogers for $100.

1806               Pays taxes in Pulaski County, Kentucky.

1807               Pays taxes in Pulaski County, Kentucky.

1808               Pays taxes in Pulaski County, Kentucky.

1812               Estimated Death of John Gadberry;  approximate age 52 years old.
